Why we built this

Two years ago, I almost lost my mom — because no one knew she needed help.

She had been severely ill for over a week. Barely able to move. She didn't call anyone because she didn't want to be a bother. By the time I found her, she was in stage-4 kidney failure fighting three concurrent infections. Three weeks in the hospital isolation ward. The road back was long and hard, and never complete.

If we'd had a simple system — a daily I'm okay — I would have known to check on her sooner. The damage could have been so much less severe.

You can pause your check-ins any time — for a trip, a hospital stay, or any time you don't want notifications to go out. Resume whenever you're ready, and your trusted contacts won't get any alerts while you're paused.
